Mike, The old gas station was originally built and owned by a man by the name ot Rittiman. He and his family had the station at first and later built rooms in the back for travelers. The station was also a cafe used by ranchers, railroad men and by travelers. Later, (50's) the property was sold to a family out of Dryden who also established the now ruins called Cedar Station. They were there for about three years and sold the station, cafe and rooms to Ronnie Knight of Sanderson who ran it for about four years ( he was Bill Chamberlain's brother in law). He sold the property to Bill Chamberlain , who then with his wife Doris and sons Skip and Bubba ,ran the station and caught more alterna's than anyone ever will. During the sixties, Dennie Miller was the cook at the restaurant and at night, he and I along with the Skramm brothers and the Chamberlains would give dirt Pandale, Hwy 90 and Pumpvill canyon hell !! Talk about a bunch of crazies........ Hope this will help......E-mail me at gringodevil@delril.con........See ya, Earl.
