Taking Draconis to the vet tomorrow...

Dragonlord69 Jul 08, 2004 11:28 AM

I have a scheduled appointment with the vets for Draconis because he's backed off again from eating. I just replaced both bulbs in his tank, and it does look brighter than before. He was a little lethargic in there, and always brightens up when he's in the window. I'm trying to get him to eat today so I'll have a fecal sample to take in tomorrow, but he's backed waaayy off on eating. Aside from the normal assortment of colorful fruits and veggies that are on the menu, what else can I get for him to stimulate his appetite? I was thinking about a syringe full of baby food, but don't know which to use. Any ideas?

Any of his favorite tpe of insects can work as a way to try and get him into food. However, if he still won't eat (which is the problem I am having with my own and I am taking him to the vet today) you can use a syringe with some canne baby food. Either meat based or veggie based and put it in a syringe. I am not a vet so I am not sure how much to give, but my vet told me to give him 2 ML/CC since he is 423 grams. It might not help his appetite but it will keep his strength up till the vet visit and yesh, that baby food does help with their strength. :-D
