which So. Cal Show?

davel Jul 08, 2004 01:19 PM

If I am only going to go to one So. Cal show, which one should I pick...NARBC in Anaheim or IRBA in San Diego? I have not been to either, although I have been to IRBA's San Mateo and Pomona events.

Ill be at the san diego show this weekend its cool although i must say its not all that impressing one of the largest tables there is LLL reptile wich i already go to on a monthly basis for rodents and then theres a lot of other local pet stores with a lot of "pet shop grade" animals i dont know maybe its just me i think im just used to chicagos shows

The San Diego IRBA shows have been much larger than the Pomona IRBA shows in my experience. I've always had a great time at the San Diego shows. The only issue is that since there are now so many shows all over the country (and since kingsnake.com has touched us all with their classifieds), the large breeders in other states don't have to come all the way to the West Coast to sell. Nevertheless, there are always lots of great snakes. I've seen Rich Isle there at least a few times with lots of hypos for sale.

Dave,
I think the two shows this year that you will want to attend out here in So.Cal will be the Sept NARBC in Anaheim and the Oct IRBA in San Diego. The Oct IRBA is a great show with a pretty good selection of animals. This will be the first year of the Anaheim NARBC. I do not know how big it will be, but looking at the vendor list, NARBC Anaheim Vendor List,I would say it is going to be GREAT show!
Take care,

Ive have been going to every one here in San Diego for quite some time now... but lately they just are not upto par. The only reason I continue to go is for the simple fact that they are "here" in Diego... takes me about 10 min from house to show.
