I Got My Conda!!!

rkeiii Jul 08, 2004 01:19 PM

She's a beautiful female green anaconda from Kelly and about 3ft and a couple inches long. She seems to be acclimating well to her new home even though she did give me a love tap right on the nose. I posted pics of her at http://www.supercondas.com in the photo gallery. Hope you enjoy, and thanks for all the help guys!

I like the website as well but the poll of anaconda ownership...green and yellow anacondas are not sub-species..they are species. There are 4 species of anaconda, Eunectes murinus (green or common green anaconda), Eunectes notaeus (yellow anaconda), Eunectes benienis (beni anaconda), and Eunectes deschauenseii (deschauenseii's anaconda). Common names for E. beniensis and E. deschauenseii are not common though..most use the latin name when referring to them. I plan on being an active member to your site though. But right now it is 5 in the morning and I work at 11 until 5 the next morning...need a little sleep

Thanks for the info. LOL. I was just trying to put something up to take the place of the generic pole they had on there. I changed it now to say "type" of Anaconda. I'm glad people are enjoying the site, I just added a chat section upon request.
