2002 Female Peruvian. One of my favorite BCC in the collection **PIC**

BASICALLYBOAS Jul 08, 2004 05:59 PM

We are having some nice overcast picture taking weather today here in So. Calif, so I thought I would snap a nice pic of my favorite Peruvian I have in the collection. She is a 2002 female from the group of imported Basins that came in that first year. Anyone with anymore info on that particular group, please fill me in! I was just told that there was a small group of around 18 that came in that year.
Dan, Kemper, Anyone?! ….LOL

I have a few days until the next group of litters drop, so I thought I would get a few pics of some Boas I had been meaning to shoot for a while.
Hope you like the pic & let me know what you think of her.

I got this girl from Todd Callan around late 02. But I've had difficulties tracking him down since. He had a massive color morph colection, maybe went broke collecting them. I fell in love with her the moment I laid eyes on her. Paid some bucks for her and an Iquitos male that she was paired with. At the time I thought Amazon Basin was just another BCC of unknown region, but have received limited infomation on this type that implies Equador as their origin. Actually, I didn't even want the male but he wouldn't separate them. He was just a typical Peruvian, but this female was so different from all the Peruvians I'd seen. Super clean, orange tail, excellent head type, cream body color. She's changed quite a bit over the last 2 years.. but she only gets better. Just found a guy last fall that had some imports that were similar, sold as Amazon Basins, so now I have a male. They have a strong influence from Peru, but not enough to speckle them up. I call her "The Precious".

I think I'd trade my entire collection for more like her. I hear ya Mike, they could be the best BCC. I love your little girl, great dorsal-to-later fading, great contrast.

...I have had a few friends see her and they all make me offers on her, but she is one that is here for good. I actually paired her up with a very yellow male from Dan Mulleary from DM Exotics 2003 litter.

....let me know what you think of him. He was very grey in the beginning, but has really started to color up.
