As most of you know, I'm really into herps. Frogs mostly, although I do own a collared lizard. (I'm seen on that forum more frequesntly) Anywho, I've recently found out that both of my Cuban Tree Frogs are male. I've been looking forward to breeding them for a year! This just really made me sad.
Well, anyway, it rained very hard last night and the humidity was sky-high. You should have heard all of the frog calls. Cubans, Greens, Squirrel, Gray, Spade... You name it, they were mating. So today I go for a walk, and, VIOLA! A HUGE batch of frog eggs! So I run to the store, get supplies... and by the evening they had already began to hatch within their jelly sacks. Amazing! A few are still round eggs... they're either being slow, or weren't fertilized. Anyway, I took less than half of the batch to do a photo docutmentary. This is legal, seeing as they are not endangered... In fact, they are a bit over-populated...
I'll post links for pictures if requested. I've got three wonderful ones already. If you'd rather see them over e-mail, catch me at shopunke@yahoo.com
I really hope I get a lot of replies!
