i was feeding my female melanistic Eastern earlier. i gave her some scented rat pups on a piece of paper towel. i guess she was so hungry she didn't realize what she was doing and she ate a small piece of the paper towel. i tried in vain to get it away from her. will she pass this or could it cause problems? i appreciate any help/advice!

I guess it matters how big the piece was. I would really worry about it, it just added some fiber to the diet!

should be. How old is your mel.hog. I just got an adult female and got her to eat 2 scented hoppers almost immediately. Thanks, Jon in Ky

don't know exactly how old she is. she's a wild-caught adult.

Happens all the time. I cought one of mine eating a whole paper towel once by chance. I wouldn't worry too much just don't feed her for a while.
