Hello,

here is foto of bicephal hatchling of hybrid Elaphe dione x E. bimaculata and, again, with E. dione. It died soon after hatch, but, anyway, this is interesting event.

Yeah, very nicely photoshop work. But i ask myself why i make only two heads, not three, four or nine? It must be more interesting, than only two pitiful heads, this is right?

And i have another question - why i need make such falsification?

why not more? because two is belivable. Also, being a former graphic art major, I can tell you this...the way the bodies come togther with the markings, it makes it much easier to do a split down the middle than off in 10 different directions.

So why only 2 heads? 1) beliveable. 2) laziness.

You dont answer to my second question - why i need to do this? I work in serious organization wellknown for many specialists in world.

well I don't have any idea what kind of person you are, nor what kind of field you are in. for all I know, you could be nothing more than a teenager looking to pull a prank on some people, you have to understand this aspect also. Doesn't look photo opt to me. Anyway since the snake died not a total loss. You can pickle him and see if anyone is interested in it as an oddity.

Yes, i allways send such specimen to St. Petersburg University to expert in reptiles and amphibians teratology.
