I am looking for slides of three relatively common California reptiles: North Pacific Rattlesnake, Striped Racer (Whip Snake), and Checkered Whiptail Lizard.
Does anyone have any leads?

Try this link. The photos here are free to use in non-commercial applications as long as photographer is notified and credited.
The attached link is one of my sources for a newsletter I produce. You can also try going to the major photo hosting sites such as webshots, pbase, ophoto, smugmug etc. and search for the animals you are looking for. If you find one, be sure to ask permission of the photographer. I have done this many times and have never been refused - I repay them with a copy of the newsletter that contains their photograph.
