I know there are 2 subspecies of sikorae....one has a white mouth, one has a black mouth. My question is, what are the names of the subspecies and which color is which?

u. sikotore sikore is the more common one and the one with the black mouth. they seem to a little heavier set and a little harder to take care of. (touchy about humidity and heat)
sikore samaeti was supposedly discoverd in 1990 and is very rare. (also supposedly.) they are the ones with the clear (or pink) mouth. out of 10 uroplatus sikore i have purchased, only three were sikore samatie. they seem to be very hardy (i had a male get out for three days and nights with no problem except a little dehydrated) and i hope to soon get these guys established in captiity. i hope this helps with your question.
Yes, that definetely helps with my question. Mine is a sikore samaeti then.....thanks!
