A 20 gallion long would be good for a baby yellow. the temp should be in the mid 80's and the humidity should be around 70%. male yellows get around 6-8 feet while female yellows can get 10-12 feet. The snake that you buy should be feeding on rodents before you get it the swich can be hard to make.

I agree with almost everything cody had to say. However, low to mid/high 80s would be optimal in my opinion. Anacondas tend to seek slightly lower temps due to their aquatic behavior and adaptaion to it. Also, most yellow anacondas I have worked with and seen are all starting on rodents. Greens tend to want chicks but yellows all tend to jump on rodents off the bat. I would make sure it is healthy and eating in general. Try and get a calm one because they are quick and the teeth kind of hurt expecially for their size. It is a little difficult to tame a spastic one yet not impossible...good luck.
I use 20gallon long tanks for all my babies. I do however make custom tops to control humidity. If you go to www.supercondas.com you can see the top I use. While you are there please become a member. Thanx
