Question on Pastels

zhenchok Jul 09, 2004 01:48 PM

I'm thinking of purchasing a pastel. Would a female be more valuable than a male? I know that you need a female to produce a super, but would a female cost more? Which lines are considered to be better quality? How would I judge the value of a pastel. I'm thinking of getting a Nerd line Pastel and wanted to get some insight. Thanks, Dave.

nothing wrong with nerd's line...i'm picking one up from them at the white plains show next week..........males are cheaper & can give you more pastels...because you can breed a male to multiple females & get more babies 5 clutches of eggs will give you more pastels than one clutch.

If you are only getting one get a male. Male means multiple a potential o fmultiple clutches of pastels, a female means a single clutch.
