I don't think that anyone did a poll, but I would think that that the age would be around 30. I would think that most breeders are older, having been in the hobby for a few years. I think that the majority of the people that get into the hobby are mostly kids around the age of 15 to 18. Most of the morphs are owned by people who are settled in and can afford spending a few grand on their hobby. Thats just my oppinion.

I believe you are right. The more specialized, the higher the age. For example, I would expect most breeders to be older, or keepers of large boids to be older. I'm just looking for average enthusiasts. Not just with BPs but with all snakes. Breeders are few in comparison.

10...most reptile lovers are around 10 years old. Once they hit 11 they start to worry about video games and girls. Before that age they have to go to the library and check out snake books and write reports. Anyone over 10 that likes reptiles is a nerd that just wants attention : )

Good idea..my comment was a joke and I hope you both saw that. If you are commited to the animals I believe you are ready to move into the snakes. It just cant be a phase you go through...and I can assure you that you will have many phases to come if you are 13.

I don't know what the average age is. I know I'm a 16 year old girl. I have 4 ball pythons and one jungle carpet python. Next year I want to get a pair of angolan pythons and start breeding my balls.
