jason clark Jun 20, 2003 11:30 PM

Okay guys, I will be taking a family trip for about 3-4 days down to OH from WI, the Cleveland area to be specific, and I'm just wondering what I can maybe expect to find and where to look? I know people have secret spots that they dont want posted all over the net so if anyone has specific spots that they wouldnt mind sharing please feel free to send an email to: jcrepman2@aol.com Thanks for your time!

I'm from Central Ohio, so I can't help you out with the Cleveland area. Actually, I do most of my herping in my own backyard! But...I grew up North of Chicago, and vacationed in WI quite a bit. I will be going to Antioch and then Green Lake this August, and was wondering if you are in either of these areas, and, if so, where might I look? Good luck, and enjoy your Ohio trip. I can tell you that as you come into the state and head along the S. shore of Lake Erie, Crane Creek State Park and the Ottawa National Wildlife Area are great spots for wildlife in general. I have done lots of birdwatching there, and assume that there would be some chances for local herps.
