just a few questions

Hi,

How long does it take for a male yellow to reach 8 feet?
What kind of lighting do I need for a yellow anaconda?
Do I need to mist them to maintain humidity like some geckos?
Is the "Critter Country Critter Litter" a good substrate?

Thanx in advance,
Joe

A male yellow normally get 6 they can get 8 in about 2 years. they need to have humidity at 70% so mist the cage and keep a cup of moss under the hot spot. the light used is a 100 watt house light temps shoul;d be in the mid 80's the best substrait is newspaper or lizard liner/carpet.

any light to provide as day night cycle. I think most people will agree undertank is the best source of heat so dont try and heat from above and dry your tank out. I hope you dont mean type of light like uva or uvb..no snake needs that and there is no research I know of that supports them even being capable of benefitting from uv. cody is right 6-8 ft is average for a male and it takes a couple years. I would use newspaper or carpet (something easy to replace that is sterile and cannot be swollowed as a substrate.
