My burm is finally striking the chicks I've been giving him. I started chasing a rat with these chicks (as Todd mentioned earlier) to get him to eat the 9 I bought. It is finally working. Rabbits R next!

I'm thinkin about tryin chicks but havnt yet. I think I'm going to stick with trying rabbits so that once they eat them, I can just continue moving up in size, so exactly howd you get them to take the chicks?

Man.....I typed my last just seconds after he hit it, then I turned around and he had moved on. I fed him another rat, then stuffed the chicks head in his mouth as the tail of the rat disappeared. Dude! That's a tricky job! Before he wouldn't even strike the chick. I only have maybe 3 more left in the freezer. Then I have rabbits and guinea's and rats to throw at him. Sorry, I still believe this method will work though. Sorry I chopped your screenname!

Try scenting the rats with the chicken. I had a very reluctant feeder female dh. I sent small rabbits with chickens and she takes them every time. It helps to get a bit of chicken blood on the head of whatever you happen to be scenting. Pythons just seem to love chicken.
