FOUND GASH ON BACK!!! HELP PLEASE!!!!

skikid28 Jun 20, 2003 11:59 PM

Today when I was handling my approx. 4 month old gecko, I noticed a small gash on his back that was about the sign of a BB. He is alone in his cage and to my knowledge, no mealies are out loose and chewing on him. I took a q-tip with warm water and just tried to clean it and he went berserk. I have no idea what happened or how to treat it for infection. Any help would be great.

that will keep infection away. Put a drop on the sore every day or so when it dries up until it heals.
Something that small will probably heal over pretty good in about a week or so. They're extremely tough animals, but you might want to have a look around the tank for sharp objects or anything that could have cut your leo.
