Beautiful Hypo...I'll bet it's tough to get all that color in her sides on camera. She looks like she could be a "pastel." That's really saying something because I don't believe in "pastels!"

Awwww come on Chris, you don't believe in pastels?!
I truly believe that in the next few years we're going to be seeing more and more "pastels" if not for the simple fact that people are holding back and breeding the best of the best. Every year more and more people begin breeding these wonderful animals and it's only a matter of time before more wacky stuff starts popping out.
With regards to the DH Ghost... you're absolutely right.. she's incredibly difficult to photograph. She has this incredible coloration to her. She's no where near as HYPO as some of my other hypos, with regards to stark reds and oranges, but she's incredible all the same.

I think pastels are just nice selectively bred boas....I've been slammed on this forum for my opinion on this....But I think most pastels are WAY overpriced....and that it is a term used to make more money on a snake. I have BCI's that rival many pastels I've seen...most of these were purchased for under $100.
I think no ill of people who have pastels...but it's like breeding a Irish Setters for shinning coats....it isn't a new genetic...it's just a selectively bred trait....and in some cases it's a farce(people calling their animals pastels to make a buck).

Take care,Chris Olson
