3400g female virtually slugged out on me.
2 good eggs out of 11! You gotta take the bad with
the good...

3000g female genetic blackback!
She gave me 1 good egg out of 8!
I candled them all. I was hoping that
3 maybe 4 would have been good, but I
guess it wasn't meant to be...

Interestingly, the same female gave me
1 egg and 7 duds last year too!
The one baby that made it was an awesome
looking blackback!

Well, my spirits were lifted a lot this evening when I
came home to 9 fertile eggs from a 2500g female. I was
hoping for 6-8 good eggs, but with the way the week had
been going I wasn't holding my breath! I've got a 2100g
female that should lay in the next few days. I'm optimistic
by the way she looks (very full) that she's carrying full-sized
eggs. Hope they're fertile...

Hope you're seeing more of this in with your females (as opposed
to the other two pics!!).

I candled the 4 that are full sized.
Only two of them were fertile.
These two bad ones have already started to rot (I put
them in the incubator just to be sure...now I'm
sure that the two bad normal sized eggs are in fact duds).

Still have 2 of 11 that seem to be doing fine.
