damaged scale

BigBoss Jul 10, 2004 07:30 AM

I was looking at my burm the other day and i noticed a little tiny raise in one of the scales on his head. It looked like he just caught it on something so i just left it alone. I checked again today and it was raised all the way up so i let him soak in some water and swim around and the scale went back down again and looks normal.
I didn't notice any mites he's only one month old and captive hatched. He appears healthy and eats rat pups no problem. He does climb alot and i thought maybe he caught it the wrong way while climbing or moving around.

Should i be worried?

I would spray him with some mite spray just to be safe.I spray mine twice a week for mites and vitamin spray twice a week .
i cant hurt.
