Japanese Rat Snake

E. climacophora

I've been looking all over for one of these snakes. I found info on them, but no breeders. Supposedly there will be breeders at NARBC this november in Philly, but I'm not sure.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Can you get to Daytona? There were some great ones there last year from a local breeder.

Unfortunately not. I live in New Jersey and the only two shows I make it to are White Plains, NY and NARBC in Philly.

Del and Terry at Kern Reptile Research Center breed them. I checked their site, and they have eggs at this time. If you write them, they can give you an idea of when they should be hatching. I have delt with them before and I can't say enough good things about them. They are honest folks and sell very nice snakes. The picture is from there site. It is always nice when you can see what the parrents look like.

Best of luck with finding the snake that you want. I keep American ratsnakes myself, but I can understand your wanting one special snake.

I had a clutch of 11 hatch recently. They just shed and I'm going to see who will eat today. As soon as they have eaten consistently several times, they'll be up for sale. Shoot me an email if you're interested. I believe Tom Harrison also has yearling and hatchlings available. I see his ads in the classifieds periodically.

Thanks,
Ronda
