I have always removed my females from their enclosure and placed them in a smaller tank or bucket with about 8-10 inches of moist sand. This only works if you can monitor the animal closely prior to laying. Most lizards will decrease their appetite, or stop eating all together. They will then begin searching for a place to dig. They'll be restless and dig test holes. If you see this, you can remove her and place her in a controled laying site. This helps because it facilitates finding the eggs.

If you don't have time to watch so closely, then you could let her lay in the cage. You could add more sand, add a "box," or just let her lay under an existing rock (make sure the sand is a bit moist, not wet)....

Hope this helps!!!
