Turtles in Lake Erie

I have gone turlte searching in Lake Erie several times and before a few days ago I only found two dead ones This picture quality isnt very good, but it was as close as my camera would zoom! Look at all of them basking. I couldnt tell what kind they are but I am guessing they are painted turtles. I know they are abundent in this area...

great to see so many turtes thanks for sharing. Looks like a lot of painted turtles but there are at leas two which look keeled like they might be maps. Good to see something is thriving in that lake that has such pollution issues.

Hey if u wanna see alot of turtles i know a great spot around Buffalo. I never saw any turtles in lake erie? Thats so cool i will have to go there more now.
