Mutation I.D. ?

MarcB Jul 10, 2004 01:57 PM

A good friend of mine hatched some of these corns and we get all kinds of different opinions on what they might be!

They have these silver markings around the saddles and ruby red eyes contoured with silver ?

We've heard these called from hypos to Tyrosene positive Albinos!

Can you corn experts identify these for us?

Thanks a bunch

What do the parents look like?
What do you know about the genetics of the parents? Did you produce the parents or buy them? If purchased, what were you told about their genetics?
Any chance of a better pic including a closeup of the eyes?

The sire is a Ghost het-albino and mother an amel reverse okeete het-hypo.

Background genetics are unknow, albino siblings were also produced from this clutch. The mother was found in a sand box in a local park and given to us.

If the eyes are indeed red, the sliver/purple rings where the black would normally be would indicate an Amel type of mutation. I don't know of a T Albino in corns but I guess any thing is possible, more information would be good and maybe a macro shot of the head too.
Thanks
