Out of all the Texas Indigos I have caught so far this one is the nicest looking. He has more red on him than any other Texas animal I have seen. I sure did hate to have to release him back. I have yet to run into a mean one.
Enjoy!

What a beauty, thnx for the ocular stimuli. Sounds like you may have run into a few of these over the years....it'd be nice to hear some of your out in the field eperiences...
Lastly, I hate to sound like a legal beagle on this....cuz theres apparently a huge # of these brutes cruising tejas...but as a point of law, you might be exposing yourself by even handling them for fotos, here in Az, picking a protected spps up for a foto is the same as bagging it & going home w/ it....go figure eh!
Its a pity Tejas cant see the value of permitting a few hundred indys /year @ ~ $100/tag....
Ouch!!! I hope that is not the case!! If so, that is not me in the photo. It is some unidentified white male. LOL!
I am going to check into that and see and I appreciate the heads up.
Thanks,
Gilbert
you are in a State Park, no wildlife officer is going to hassle you for it....There aren't enough agents around to even put one in every state park...
