wow that really sucks. see my mali has no problem shedding. but my brothers mali does. the spikes on his tail, that he sheds, usually have a hard time coming off. and there is one that i can't get off. Apollo doesn't like being soaked for the most of it. so if anyone could help us both that would be great.

good luck with your uro.

There is a product called shed ease that you can get at some pet stores and probably some where on the Internet. None of my lizards have trouble shedding so I have never tried it but it could help. Sorry that i don't have more info on it

I've heard mineral oil helps. I've never seen either actually work, but then again I put it on some really stubborn skin, and I'd keep it away from the mouth and eyes.

well i have never used mineral oil on a uro but i did use it on my collared lizard once and it works best if you wrap the lizard in a warm towel for like five minutes to moisten the skin and then rub the oil on the difficult spots. mineral oil is just a liquid form of vasoline for the most part and you will find it in the laxitive section of a drug store

that's good to know.

We (my family) has mineral oil already for the dog (it cleans ears and keeps the trimmers oiled and in shape). So maybe I'll try that on the tail for Apollo, Ares has a little spot of skin but that's it.

Thanks for the info.
