SOMEBODY HELP MEEE!!!!

miki00 Jul 10, 2004 05:40 PM

My ball python just shed a week ago and he didn't shed perfectly, he missed a part. Then i read an article about scale rot and i think my snake has it. Is it really scale rot? how can i treat it? I thought it was jus a bad shed and that he was gonna be ok after his next shed.

HELP!!!

I wouldn't worry about that unless it's spreading. Some of my WC Balls have it (old scars). Your snake looks fine.

Put her in the water for 2 hours, and you can remove that easy.
Thanks.

Actually that is not shed that is still on the snake...it is the top layer of the new scales that was damaged during the dry shed...it will heal and get better as long as you bump up humidity and get perfect sheds the next few times..good luck. Dont worry your snake is fine.
