New Blood

Hi.. I've owned a sumatran borgersmai before, but, today I purchased a Borneo STP. 12" long, chocolate milk color, and spots all the way down his back.. My question is this. His lip scales seem to run up to his eye, with no row of small scales between. Although his head scales seem more like a Borneo, I question his label...
I'll post pics soon, any thought or threads will be appreciated...
thanks...
ax.

it sounds to me like a possible cross. because only the brongersmai has a single row of scales below the eye both curtus and breitensteini have a second really small set below the eye.keep in mind though brongermai has a large veriation in color from red to brown. I have attached a link to a paper which explains in far more detail then I ever could good luck
