I don't know about the rest of you, but my lizards wake up CRANKY. Within a few minutes of their lights coming on they both flare up with huge black beards. Anyone know what this is all about? I think perhaps it may have to do with both being male, maybe they're having dreams about beautiful females and wake up a little bit randy. Of course that's just a guess. Maybe they just aren't morning people.

sorry I cant help onm this one, I dont see my BDs until 7:30-8:00am by then they are getting warmed up and ready to eat.

Well I have the lights set for 7am, but it's after the sun's come up so surely they get some kind of warning.

Wow, you guys get up early. On the weekdays I get up before the dragons, and the weekends I get up after them. I think I have my lights set to go on at 9am, and off around 10pm or so for the summer. They're in the basement so they have no idea what's going on outside. I never see them upon first awakening, so I have no clue what the attitudes are like. They aren't in my room either. When they were smaller, two were. Woodrow is just an angry type of guy, so he was more cranky. Not the beard, but just a cranky look. Tehko was always excited to get up in the morning and get food. Dexter was never in my room since I got him as an adult from someone. I would suspect he's excited to wake up. He's just generally goofy.

The lights come on at 7:30am. When my guys wake up they are sooooooo sloooooooowww and sweet. I'm not saying they love being handled first thing in the morning but I can tell they just don't know what exactly is going on yet. And if they try to move out of my hand it's such a small effort it kinda crack me up.
