Hi New here..... Question, Male or Female (pic)

FireDrake Jul 10, 2004 08:32 PM

I just got a pair of Mali Uros and I just want to double check the female is a female. She is about a year and a half and at best guess is wild caught. I was wondering if you can sex them like bearded dragons... ie: hold up their tails to see two bumps for males and one bump for female, or by spreading their cloaca open. I am pretty well adept at sexing beardies but I am brand new to uros.

Thanks

WOW.......whats a cloaca? and to me, i'm not an expert, but that semi-looks like a male. although your she could be a male mimic female. take a picture of your females back (not the under side) for me. I'd like to see her coloration, plus I've never seen a wild caught uro.

Sorry, but you really have no idea what a cloaca is?
Anyways, the "female" is only a year and a half or so and is half the size of the male I sincerely hope they wouldnt be mating right now. And I have no idea if she is wild caught or not, she came from Xtreme Reptiles orignally and I hear that a lot of their stuff is wild caught. She is in pretty good shape, eats, poops, no scars, nice and fat. She is only 130 grams. I have no idea how much she should weigh.
