Ok I am sure that you guys have had this question millions of times, so here it is again. I have one bearded. I have a nice 125 gallon fish tank that split a seal. SO I intend to keep my beared in there....although it seems like a waste of such a huge tank...can I only keep the one? The reason I ask is because I read such conflicting information. Some says yes if you raise them from babies together. Others say no absolutly not. I am just wondering if anyone keeps groups of beardeds together and what kind of luck they have and if you have to keep just females together or what......THANKS everyone

There is no really straight solid answer for this because a lot of people had differant experiences. It really all depends on the dragons. I do keep two females together. They were together since like 2 months old. Never had a problem with one being overly dominant. This does happen though. Males and females can be kept together until the male gets sexually mature, or overly dominant. At that time he will really cause damage to a female, and stress her out. He won't let her eat, and constantly try to mate with her. I would use caution when introducing another dragon. Go into it planning on keeping them seperate. Two females have a better chance of being kept together for any length of time. Make sure if you do they are both around the same size and weight. Also when introducing another new dragon two fecal tests two weeks apart have to come back clean of parasites. Before putting them together. Don't want to introduce parasites.

There's a few things to keep in mind.

1. Males can't be kept together.
2. Male and female together? You'll have babies..all the time, which isn't healthy. .... Males are always ready to go.
3. Females together. You have the chance of them not getting along.

Ther'es always going to be a more dominate one, and if it's works, great..if not, you're in a for a nightmare of seperation.

I prefer to only keep one beardie per tank. I have most of mine in tanks that size, only a few are in something smaller.

Believe me, when I say that your beardie will love the extra space a large tank will provide.
I'd personally just stick with one beardie.
You'd also have to get a beardie the same size as your current one. You can't put a baby in with an adult, as they don't have the instinct to figure out what's food and what's not ...

My two cents.

Another option is making a plexi glass or solid divider to effectively create two tanks out of hte single one. Just make sure you have appropriate lightening and heating for both. Then you can have two dragons without worry about them fighting. If you have two females you can try introducing together once both are at the same size/weight and see if they get along. If they fight then just leave the cage divided.
