With a burm, no. Especially since they are just mice, stay on your reg feeding schd. Even my little columbian baby will take 2 mice per feeding.

Thanks for the info. I think i will keep trying to feed him 2 for a few feedings.By the way how hard is it to switch over to ft i would like to but do they get all the vitamins with ft?

You should get the same nutritional value from ft that you do from live or pk. I however would attempt to switch him over to small rats or rat pups. The reason I say this is because the sooner you make the transition then the easier it usually is. Also, and more importantly there is more nutritional value in one larger animal then in two animals of the same weight. You have to remember that hair, skin, and bones do not have much nutritional value and the two smaller animals will have more of the non-nutritional stuff then a larger item. Just something to think about. Todd

I never thought of that Thanks Todd

Something you might also do, if you have access to rabbits at various stages of development, is start in on rabbits already. It may be tough to talk a breeder into letting you have some newborns, but if you can get some, then the transition to rabbits from rats down the line will also go much smoother. This may or may not cost more while hes not eating full grown yet, cause your breeder may charge the same price regardless of size, like mine does, but It will be worth it in the end if you dont have to feed him 4 or 5 $10 rats every couple weeks once he gets big.
