Hey Cable,
I haven't actually seen any juvie HLs yet, but last year my little guys hatched on July 20th. My Zebra-Tails hatched on the 16th last year also, so pretty soon, I'd wager. Let us know if you find any.... =) Did that gravid DHL lay?
Talk to you later,
-Phil
I was up the hill two weeks ago and saw a yearling but no whippersnappers yet.
It's a lot drier here this year so I bet the yield will be less than last year. They were everywhere last year in Aug and Sept.
The reason I asked is because it seems like it warmed up earlier this year and I was wondering if that would affect the hatch.
My DHL still has not dropped those eggs yet. I can't believe it. I am beginning to wonder if I am just feeding her too well.
TTYL Phil

Cable-I have found in my experience that middle August to even into September is best for little ones with respect to the Riverside area and Palmdale area (Blainville). I'm sure their are hatchlings before that, but I seem to have best luck in locating young about that time.
