You did a really nice job with that. What are the different layers of substrate you used?

Thanks! Not quite done. Wanna make the basking areas closer to the heat so the temps go up. but It's pretty much done. Maybe change the backround from plain brown bags to something more interesting.
As for the substrate "layers", the bottom is Clay. I left a couple inch layer of straight clay cause it holds the tunnels best. On top of it is a mixture of clay, sand, vermiculite, and soil. It works very well. I wet it down a little (not too much and only about once a month or so) just to clay the clay from drying out so much the tunnels colaspe. Plus the uros seem to like it. They're most active right after the "rain" has come. even seen them lick the water off the branches or glass sides. I also leave their greens wetter then i do my other animals. Not soaking but with water drips visable on them. When I do that is when they eat the best. Keep the greens from drying out so fast and gives them water since they don't have a water dish. Anyhow, thanks for the compliment.

It looks like the top of your subsrate is wet... you do know that uros require a dry, arid environment, don't you?
