Grrl~

It'll be ok. You're doing the right thing taking her in. She seems like a nice healthy ig to start with, and I know you're taking good care of her.

Do you have a nesting box for her? Are you supplementing with calcium? Can't remember if you mentioned it before or not.

If you have the time right now (I know you're in "Hell Week", maybe you should read up on syringe feeding & give it a try? Might help her keep from getting dehydrated. And try a soaky bath, if you haven't yet.

Deep breaths, it'll be ok soon. I'm sorry the sh*t is hitting the fan all at once. And I hope you find your lost leo.

The last week before the wedding is by far the absolute worst thing ever. I didn't even enjoy my honeymoon, I was so exhausted. But it'll be over & you'll have time to rest & enjoy the prezzies & spend time with your animals & your new spouse.

PS: Try to give your brain a break. Let it go on autopilot, do something brainless like watching crappy movies, playing video games or reading a junk food book. There's nothing you can fix by worrying & you don't want to exhaust yourself.

You guys have been so great on this forum board....i really appreciate it more than i can express by typing. It is nice being consoled by people who have delt with these things before...I am just afraid i will lose a friend and it is something that is weighing heavily.

hang in there shes a beautiful healthy iguana with a caring knowledgable owner. Im sure she will be fine, and the vet visit will pinpoint what to do. dont stress too much over her not eating-she sounds full of eggs not a lot of room left for food, and nature built her to be healthy enough to develop them and sustain herself while not eating. good luck at the vets!
and congrats for the wedding

If you try to force feed her use Cridacal Care(sp). My vet told me to use that on my Mali Uromastyx who was starving and VERY under weight. I mixed it with baby food vegis (green beans) and he didn't like it but I made him eat and he is now eating on his own. This food is for exotics per my vet. Congrats on your up coming wedding too.
