Has anyone gone this route??.......................

I have a 45 galln terrarium, they say it's not meant to hold water, but ive had heavy rocks in there before and what not. Has anyone sealed a terrium up around the bottom and added a few inches of water to make a virarium/acquarium type setting? I guess i could seal the bottom better, put so much water in it and leave it for a few days for leaks. Is there a way to determine the weight it can bear? I replaced the bottome glass myself and thought to house a full grown snake in it, but half glass and half screen top, I can cover up to keep the moisture in, or maybe that doesn't work well. humm ~~plenty of other tanks as well to choose from that will work if not.

I think the reason the rocks were held was b/c it didn't stress or put pressure on the glass as water would. Likley the rock was just on the bottom glass but water pushes from all four sides and the glass then may not support it. Test it out and see. good luck

I forgot about the crack in the corner, so i scraped the whole idea with that tank and went with my 20 tall. I have part of the false bottom and now await the river rock. I had to order it because this stupid town didn't have any. But i lined those blk trays with screen mesh and now await the rest of the kit to arrive piece by piece. I get to anxious and want things done right away, but masterpieces take time.

My big toe says HI:
