The Orlando show was really great as it had a banquet Saturday night with Dr Elliott Jacobson speaking on IDB and other virus. I was seated next to Dr Jacobson at dinner and the auction and really had a chance to pick his brain on some medical info.

Below is a basket that we made up and donated for the Auction to raise funds for IBD research. Dr Jacobson did say one thing that I wanted to repeat It not my research, it's research for reptiles and their owners

What is really remarkable, it was a 15 year old boy from Tampa that made the arrangements for this auction and his speech with the show promoter and him. This rasied well over $5000 (not sure the sum, just a conservative estimate from what we saw) He noted that they had raised $30,000 in the prior 8 years, so this sum is a big amount in one night. One person can make a difference even if that person is only 15 years old.

We have sooo much going on right now, I just couldn't make it.

How was the show itself? Did you see the " all dragons that have any color are Sandfire dragons" woman??? & did you mess whth her?

You can not mean me! I'd hate to busrt her bubble that all color dragons are not Sandfires (I wonder how she thinks all those Sandfires got into Australia?)

Orignally we were not going to attend the show, but when I found out that Jacobson would be talking there, I wanted to hear it.

We did not go up til late, got there just prior to the show closing for the day, went in, saw Armstrongs to get my cricks/worms, and Kevin of ReptileSupply.com to get the rest of the goodies for the basket.

I tried to find Laura of Heavenly Herps but did not find her til later at the banquet.....so really can not tell you much about the show itself or what they had there.

DAYTONA NEXT MONTH!! We're staying at the same hotel...what day are you coming?
