I'll try to post pictures later...and I assure you tomarrow morning (monday) I'll be calling the vet first thing. But in the mean time....
I took my tegu out today, he's still in the process of tameing down so I try to keep out of cage time stress free...IE take out...hold...put back. The last day or two I notice that he was walking rather odd on his front feet...so I did an inspection today and I noticed what seemed like stuck shed...so I filled the tub with lukewarm water and set him in there for a little soak. Bout 10 minutes later I took him out and looked at his toes...they apear to be orangish and puffy/angry looking. And it looks like there are cracks in the skin but it's hard to tell (Not bleeding...just cracked). Also I noticed his belly is oranger then I remember, but the scales look ok. My guy is still a youngin yet...about 16-20 inches nose to tail tip. I keep him on coconut bedding and was wondering if this would discolor him like that? I'm still worried about his toes...and when I can get pictures I'll post them...but if you have any ideas just from the discription I would appreciate it.
Would you all reccomend continueing to soak him? Or hold off on it till I get him to the vet?
