Feeding question?

pyxis Jul 12, 2004 09:27 AM

Last night when I fed my 2 year old female GTP, she didn't strike the prey as in all previous feedings. She just quietly opened her mouth and started swallowing it. She didn't even coil around the prey. She just hung upside down and slowly swallowed up! I checked this morning to see if she regurgitated it and she didn't. Any ideas? Is she just becoming more acclimated to feeding?

Most GTPs have a tendency to strike hard and wrap. How has this individual fed for you in the past? Is it WC/import. I do have some CBB animals that seem to need more "inticing" and they will not respond aggressively to feeding (especially if they are well fed) but they always at least through a coil around the prey's mid-section. Actually.....as long as the animal is feeding, everything is OK
