Help! Beardie laid eggs without breeding!?

fvoelling Jul 12, 2004 04:59 PM

Hi,

Our Spike turned out to be a female, she just laid eggs (close to 30 of them) without ever being with another dragon. I take it there is no chance that these could be fertile (just saw parts of Jurassic Park the other day - "nature will find a way"?

Thx,
Frank

Nope, not a chance. Unless she was a with a male at some point and you didn't know about it. If you are absolutely sure that she was never with a male, they can be safely discarded. If there is any chance, no matter how small that they are fertile, and you do not want to incubate them, freeze them overnight before discarding them .
