Fed him Tuesday 1 pink and he had normal poops on thursday and sunday.
Took him to his vet appointment today, it went great lol i walked in and heard someone say "here comes the snake" as one of the three ladies in reception took off for the back room lol. Guess the lady who took my call forgot to enter the fact that he was a 17inch corn snake lol
. The others start to laugh as they realize it is a tiny corn snake and not a large boa constrictor or something. They they inform me how the lady who ran for cover was afraid of snakes, and i was told "aww he's so cute you can go wait in room 1 for the doctor".
I enter the room to find heavy duty leather gloves that would go up 3/4 of your arm, and nearly busted out in laughter. The vet and helper entered and seemed amazed at little Strider. She did a general exam by looking at his movements and eyes/nose and scales with a magnifying glass no mites. She then felt along his body for any irregular lumps, everything fine so far. Then she looked in his mouth again everything going fine, i was suprized how calm he was during the exam. Then came the full fecal, after waiting she came back and said he is fine no parasites or eggs/blood in his feces.
Also she told me he is only about 3-6 months old due to his size/?color? and they can sometimes just be slow growers for a few months. About the partially digested food she said it is most likely that he has a slow digestion rate and 2 pinks every 7 days is to much to far apart for his age. She told me to try feeding him 1 pink every 4 days for 4 feedings and see how he is doing. She said he is healthy and strong and he probably will start gaining weight fine with the new feeding plan.
