Well, last night before anyone was all the way out, a few had piped from the other side of the egg.
I'm thinking it's just random. As far as space, when I candle the eggs just prior to hatching, it seems there is more space in there than you would think possible. The first clutch, I had thought something was wrong. I candled them knowing the time was getting close but I though there is no way there is supposed to be that much room in there if every thing was on track. I didn't think they were going to hatch at all.
I think it would take a more controlled environment to figure this one out. I'm always going in and out of the incubator, etc.
I'll leave it at that.
