Can you have different species of Tree Frogs mix in one place?

alphaeus Jul 13, 2004 03:02 AM

Now I only have a baby White's Tree Frog and I'm thinking of buying a Green Tree Frog, or maybe a Red Eye.
My question is, can I mix White Tree Frog with Green Tree Frog or Red eye in one terrarium? (I was thinking if they are babies about the same size maybe it's okay, but what if later they've grown into adults?)

Please help me all Frog Lovers!
ThankS!

No you can not, even if they are babies. The green tree frogs and red eye need higher humidity than the whites and the red eyes are extremely sensitive as babies. And the whites are usually very good eaters which will add competition. Mixing in almost any case is a no. My advice to you is to set up a few 10-20 gallons one for each frog and then as they get older increase the tank size if necessary.
