Follow-up on red-headed agama question (for Eve)

buddy1900 Jul 13, 2004 07:24 AM

Thanks for the info on my red-headed agama. I got to the reptile expo and found the red-headed agama tank. There is no question that this is a boy. The girls are completely different. I bought 2 females and brought them home. They are in the tank with this guy now and they are getting aquainted. From what I saw at the show, my male is quite young. He's doing some head bobbing but seems a bit shy around the girls. I'm going to try to get a picture of the 3 of them together. The girls are pretty cute.

Should not be long, as all my buddies redheads are always gravid, Just make sure they have been wormed, and are free of parasites.

These guys usually have Heavy parasite loads, unless the seller treated them.
My buddy had problems with round worms, and coccidia .

Hopefully they are in good health and do wonderful for you.

They are a beautiful lizard. Quite nervous, hard to try and handle but real PRETTY !

Can't wait for the pics!

The females are easy to handle. The male is an absolute maniac!

Mike

Thanks for the advice. I'll ask my local reptile shop to check them out.

I have 2 female Black agamas, L. Stellio stellio I have had them for about 2 months. The first couple weeks they hid when I entered the room.

It has taken all this time just to be able to pick one up without them going PYHCO ! hahahha !

They are getting much more trusting as time goes on. I'm allowed to pat their heads now, when I put my hand in the tank.

Guess we have to be patient, Mike *SMILE*
