10yr old Brooksi male........Update

Passport Jul 13, 2004 08:52 AM

On morning rounds today I find that Romeo had shed. After thoroughly checking over his body I see that the brown shriveled scales on his back are GONE. His belly scales are also new looking. Last night I checked his mouth and found it perfectly normal looking. Perhaps, my concern with his not eating and not realizing he was in shed precipitated my concern for him. One more thing I will try with him is to move him out of the reptile house and away from the attraction of the females also housed in that building. Maybe then he will find his voracious appetite that he used to have. What a priviledge to be able to post here and have the likes of Brandon Osborne take the time to respond to my pleas. Thanks to all who care and share here.

Hey Pasport,

I mentioned a few posts down how I got my adult male to eat: offer him a fuzzy or a pinky, perhaps one that your hatchlings refused. If it works, smear some pinky goop on a mouse.

Best,

Andy

Thanks, but I'm no different than you or anyone else here. I just love the animals and want them to be as healthy as possible. We all start somewhere, and this is a great community to be a part of. There are a ton a great contributors on this forum. I just wish I had more time to post. Good luck with the babies and feeding.
