Vacation season coming - advice for leaving Leo's for a few days?

zazzygrrl Jun 21, 2003 10:50 AM

We have a couple of camping trips planned that will mean we are gone for 3 or 4 days at a time. We normally feed, change water and check on our Leo's daily, so I am wondering if you have any good advice to ensure they fare well in our absence. If you leave mealies in a dish do you leave them some kind of food to keep them gutloaded?
thanks

1. Check your rheostat or thermostat before you go to make sure the temps are good.

2. Fill the water dish with fresh water.

3. Leave a dish or two of mealies in calcium powder (I put 20-30 in for a three day vacation weekend).

That's all I do and my leos have been fine!!! Reptiles are wonderful when it comes to short vacations...
