A shipping boo-boo

LauraV Jul 13, 2004 01:40 PM

I was to have a boa delivered to me this morning. The seller put the incorrect address on the label. I was able to have it corrected, but it does no good today. If the truck arrives downtown prior to closing, I may be able to pick it up this evening. If not, he will be re-delivered tomorrow. It is in the mid 90's today. I just don't know how he could survive the back of an even hotter truck all day long. Prognosis not good...I really don't expect him to be alive....but stranger things have happened.
Whenever I ship I always copy and paste the address the buyer sends me so that If there is an address error, it will be theirs and not mine...

I completely feel your frustration...

the whole excitement of having your boa arrive...(like a present on your birthday)

you get ready for this boa and then to have this happen...

frustrating, but hopefully it will all be ok in the end.

Snakes are usually very hardy. I do exactly what you do regarding the copy and paste method, I also mark the box to keep in cool (not refrigerated) - as I ship alot of "cheesecakes" ... mistakes happen and I wish you the best and hope your new addition to your family arrives ok.

Please keep us posted.

Thanks for your response...I've posted an update post above with pics...he's alive alright, but opening the box has become more traumatic for me...I have to wonder what I will find...
