Are screen/mesh cages suitable for an australian water dragon?
Yes, as long as you can keep the humidity up. I am currently using a 175g reptarium for my temporary enclosure and I'm not having a problem with humidity.
If your using this as a perm. enclosure I would recommend getting one of the alum. frame ones with a door. The reptarium is kind of a pain to get in and out of in my opinion. Also there aren't any holes for cords if you have something you want to put in side that requires power.
THanks for the info. Also, is it recommended to start with a small enclosure - or can I just go full size right away? I plan on getting the AuWD at 8" - 10".
