Piccies at last

This is my baby corn snake that I have been wondering about for a while. I have had a number of worries about him. First off he wasn't eating but that isn't a problem anymore. But now I think he may have eaten a bit of bark and he has mites. I feel really sorry for him. I hope he will pull through. Here are some pictures of him anyway:

Tell me what you think

He's gorgeous! Really beautiful. Glad he's eating. The mites won't kill him but you must remove them. What product are you using for the mites. I purchased a small Kingsnake at one of my lfs, brought it home, and then (of course, not in the store) I spotted the mites. Used Reptile Relief with great success. I kept her isolated in an unused bathroom and followed the directions exactly. Haven't seen another mite since. Attaching a pic of the tamest cornsnake in the whole world, Freckles.

If that's a piece of reptile bark your in trouble.Does it feel hard?If it's bark your corn ate,at that size will never be able to breakdown and pass through. It will die.If it's not bark and your snake is that plugged it needs a swim in some luke warm water for about 20-30 minutes,or until whatever that is comes out.If it is hard and your sure it's bark he needs a trip to the vet a.s.a.p.You have a very nice corn and I wish you the best of luck. Please keep us posted...Paul

Don't worry, it was just his last meal. I'm hoping that my baby is a girl s then I can breed her when she is old enough and hopefully get some nice healthy babies. Do you know a way I can find out??? He is doing fine at the moment. That lump has gone down and I think he may have passed on that "piece of bark" or whatever it was.
