I saw him and his buddy a couple of weeks ago hunting in Dimmit County and then later in Val Verde. The night I saw them in Val Verde, they were headed home to Gainsville. On a side note, he told me that they found 5 alterna in one night while they were here! must be nice.

Mike C or Mike W ? A number of our party saw Mike Welker in various parts of west Texas at diff. times. When we saw him he was trying to collect geckos in a rock wash off of the flood plains of 118 south of Alpine and yes he was finding a few. We were on our last day but with words exchanged, either he was staying down for his normal " months at a time " or heading home and returning about the same time i'm going back down. I thought he said he was coming from Val Verde and Terrell to hunt west but then of course he would have to go back through there again on the way home. If J Penney saw him a couple of weeks ago, that makes him out there at least 3 to 4 weeks though. I have no knowledge of the collected alterna by him.

I don't know if Mike Welker looks at this.But if he does I wanted info on his 5 alterna in one night.And haven't heard from him in sometime,that would be a hell of a night.
